Configure Navigation
In Configure Navigation, you can add the necessary spaces, pages, or external links to the menu to create the required navigation structure. Let’s explore how to configure the navigation menu.
Configure Navigation Overview
1. Log in to Confluence as an administrator.
2. Click Get Started for Flexible Space Navigation in the User-installed apps list under Apps > Manage apps.
3. When the navigation list appears, click the Configure Navigation (wheel icon) next to the navigation to configure the menu.
4. Configure Navigation appears. Configure Navigation is divided into Navigation Structure and Navigation Style.
Navigation Structure: Allows you to add, edit, or delete menus for use in the navigation bar. Menus can be Folder, Space, CQL, or External Links.
Navigation style: Choose the background color for the navigation bar and submenu area.

Navigation Preview
The navigation preview area shows a preview of how the menu you added in Add Menu Item and background colors will look in the top menu bar.

Navigation Structure
Allows you to add, edit, or delete menus for use in the navigation. Menus can be Folder, Space, CQL, or External Links.
Expand: If the menu items added in Add Menu item are organized in a hierarchy, expand to show both parent and child items.
Collapse: Collapse all menu items to display them.
Search Box: Menu names that match the search term are bolded and shown in the navigation structure.
Add Menu Item: When you click Add Menu Item, the menu items that you can add appear. Menu items can be Folder, Space, CQL, or External Links.
View All Navigation List: Goes to the Settings screen of Flexible Space Navigation. In Settings, you can create or edit multiple navigations and utilize Global Settings.

Navigation Style Overview
In the Navigation Style, choose the background color for the navigation bar and submenu area. In Confluence's Light theme, you can set the navigation background color with a code or picker. In the Dark theme, Space Navigation automatically adjusts the background and text colors to be complementary.
The Navigation Style feature is only available in the Light theme.
Navigation Background Color: Set the background color for the navigation bar.
Submenu Background Color: Set the background color for the submenu area.
Change color: You can select a color by clicking your mouse in the color bar of the object you want to change. Colors can be selected by clicking the desired color directly in the color panel, using the eyedropper, or by entering an RGB value or HEX value.
The background color you choose can be seen applied in the navigation preview.
