FAQ_Flexible User License

Q: When mapping groups, is there a limit to the number of groups I can add to a User Group?

A: There is no limit to the number of groups you can add to a User Group. When users from groups added to a User Group login, they are added to the license group and gain access to Bitbucket.

Q: If a user is added to a license group, do they keep their license?

A: No. Users who don't log in for the period set in the Last login in Remove > Auto Remove are automatically removed from the license group in order of older.

Q: In the log list, what does the number mean?

A: “No (Number)” in the log list always the most recent log being #1. Therefore, it is not a unique number for that log, and the log number will always show the most recent log as number 1 whenever it is updated.

Q: Log search criteria allow me to select a period, status type, user name, and email. If I set all of these criteria, will the search results only show results that meet all of them? Or, does it show up in the search results even if only one condition is met?

A: The search results will only show logs meeting all set conditions.

If no search conditions exist, the most recent logs are listed first and the oldest logs are shown last.

Q: The time I set in Notification > Schedule for Warning differs from the current time. What is the set time based on?

A: The set time and the current time can be different. The time you set in the Schedule for Warning is based on the time of the cloud server providing the Flexible User License for Bitbucket service.

Q: What is External Email in Notification > Recipient Setting for?

A: If you add the email of a user who is not added to your Bitbucket system to External Email, you can send them a warning email. Users added to your Bitbucket system can receive warning emails by registering them in Groups, and Users in Notification.

Q: If an unlicensed user wants to log in to Bitbucket, do they need to ask an administrator for permission?

A: No. The first time an unlicensed user attempts to log in to Bitbucket, the Flexible User License automatically grants the user to log in, as follows. The following can be found in the Audit log on the Bitbucket Administration screen. However, automatic licensing by Flexible User Licenses only applies if the user is a member of a User Group.

1. The user account is asked to grant a license.

2. The user is granted permission. Then the user successfully logged in to Bitbucket.

3. Upon successful login, the user is added to a license group and requests that the license permissions granted to the account be removed.

4. The permissions granted to the user's account are removed.

Q: Can I use the Flexible User License for Bitbucket app with user permissions?

A: No. Because the Flexible User License for Bitbucket is a license-managed app, you can only use the full functionality of the app if you're logged in with an account with administrator permissions.

Q: I'm a user logging into Bitbucket for the first time. When I try to log in, I can't because I don't have a license. Shouldn't the Flexible User License for the Bitbucket app automatically grant me a license?

A: The logged-in user must be added to the User Group in Flexible User License for the Bitbucket app to be automatically assigned a license. If you need automatic license assignment, ask your administrator to add a group that includes you to the User Group.
