Installation
This section Introduces how to install a Flexible User License for Bitbucket.
Flexible User License for Bitbucket can be installed on Bitbucket versions 7.0 - 9.5.0.
Flexible User License for Bitbucket can be installed and accessed only with administrator permissions.
Installing Flexible User License for Bitbucket apps
Flexible User License can be easily installed by using the Find new apps in the Bitbucket admin APIs.
1. Log in to Bitbucket admin page.
2. Click Find new apps in the admin APIs.
3. Type Flexible User License in the Marketplace search box to search.
4. Select the search result of the Flexible User License for Bitbucket.
5. Click Free trial.
6. In the <Confirm app installation> read the privacy policy and terms of use. If you agree, click Accept & install.
7. Installing appears. Check the progress of the installation.
8. When the installation is complete, check that the Flexible User License for Bitbucket appears in the Manage apps > User-installed apps list.
Flexible User License is free to use for 30 days. At the end of the free trial period, you can buy licenses for the Flexible User License app based on the number of users registered in Bitbucket.
First login by an unlicensed user
When an unlicensed user first attempts to log in to Bitbucket, the Flexible User License for Bitbucket handles the unlicensed user's login with the following logic. The following can be found in the Audit log on the Bitbucket Administration screen.
1. The user account is asked to grant a license.
2. The user is granted permission. Then the user successfully logged in to Bitbucket.
3. Upon successful login, the user is added to a license group and requests that the license permissions granted to the account be removed.
4. The permissions granted to the user's account are removed.
Automatic licensing by Flexible User Licenses only applies if the user is a member of a User Group.
