Create Table with AI
With the AI feature in Flexible Table, you can quickly create a Flexible Table based on Jira spaces, filters, or JQL. Select the scope of the table you want to create, and AI will automatically configure it for you. After the table is created, you can update details such as the name, date range, and scope in the table settings.
How to access Create a Flexible Table with AI
You can access the Create a Flexible Table with AI feature from the following locations.
From the Flexible Table sidebar, go to AI > Create Table
From the Flexible Table sidebar, go to Create > Create Table with AI.
From the upper left of Flexible Table, click Switch Table, then select Create Table with AI.
From the Jira sidebar, go to Apps > Manage apps, then navigate to Jira admin settings > Flexible Table > Get started, and select Create Table with AI.
Create a Flexible Table using spaces
Log in to your Jira Cloud site.
Refer to How to access Create a Flexible Table with AI and click Create Table with AI.
The Create Table with AI page appears. From the table creation scope options in the left sidebar, select Create a table from selected Jira spaces.
From the space list, select one or more spaces to include in your table.
Once you have selected your spaces, click Start creating your table.
The AI Thinking stage appears. To proceed with the selected scope, click Start working. To modify the scope, click Edit table scope.
If you click Edit table scope, you can update the selected spaces in the Selected spaces area. Click Update your table to return to step 6.
Click Start working to begin creating the Flexible Table with the selected scope. Once the process is complete, New Flexible Table is created and displayed on the screen.
When a table is created with AI, the table name is set to New Flexible Table by default. You can rename the table from Table settings.
Create a Flexible Table using a filter
Log in to your Jira Cloud site.
Refer to How to access Create a Flexible Table with AI and click Create Table with AI.
The Create Table with AI page appears. From the table creation scope options in the left sidebar, select Create a table from a saved Jira filter.
From the filter list, select the filter to use for your table. You can select only one filter.
Once you have selected your filter, click Start creating your table.
The AI Thinking stage appears. To proceed with the selected scope, click Start working. To modify the scope, click Edit table scope.
If you click Edit table scope, you can update the selected filter in the Selected filter area. Click Update your table to return to step 6.
Click Start working to begin creating the Flexible Table with the selected scope. Once the process is complete, New Flexible Table is created and displayed on the screen.

Create a Flexible Table using JQL
Log in to your Jira Cloud site.

The Create Table with AI page appears. From the table creation scope options in the left sidebar, select Create a table from a JQL query.
Select how you want to enter your JQL query.
Enter ready-to-use JQL query: Enter a JQL query directly to create your table.
Generate a JQL query for your scenario: Select a query from the AI-suggested JQL query list to create your table.
Once you have entered your JQL query, click Start creating your table.
The AI Thinking stage appears. To proceed with the selected scope, click Start working. To modify the scope, click Modify in the Entered JQL query area and update the query.
If you click Modify, update the query in the Entered JQL query area, then click Update your table to return to step 6.
Click Start working to begin creating the Flexible Table with the selected scope. Once the process is complete, New Flexible Table is created and displayed on the screen.
