Create Flexible Table

 

Create a Flexible Table to manage work across multiple Jira spaces in a single view. You can define the table scope using spaces, filters, or JQL. Once created, the table is available on the app page and in Jira space navigation.

 


How to access Create Table

 

You can access Create Table from the following paths:

Jira sidebar > Apps > Manage apps > Jira admin settings > Flexible Table > Get started > Create Table

Create a Table

 

  1. Log in to your Jira Cloud site.

  2. Go to Create Flexible Table by following the steps in How to access Create Table, then click Create Table.

  3. The Create Flexible Table screen appears. Enter all required fields, then click Save.

  • Name: The name of the Flexible Table. It is automatically generated when created, and you can edit it if needed.

  • Start date: Defines the start date of the project timeline. A date picker appears when the field is selected.

  • End date: Defines the end date of the project timeline. A date picker appears when the field is selected.

  • Scope: Defines the data included in the Flexible Table. You can choose Space, Filter, or JQL. Space is selected by default.

All fields in Create Flexible Table are required.

  1. After saving, the newly created Flexible Table is displayed.

When Space is selected in Scope

  • Select one or more Jira spaces to include work from those spaces in the table. Multiple selection is supported.

  • When you select the Space field, a list of Jira spaces appears. The list is displayed in alphabetical order, with up to 8 items shown.

  • Selected spaces are displayed as labels. Each label includes an avatar, space name, and a remove (X) icon.

  • Click the remove (X) icon to remove the space from the selection.

When Filter is selected in Scope

  • Select a saved Jira filter to include work that matches the filter criteria in the table. Only one filter can be selected.

  • When you select the Filter field, a list of Jira filters appears. You can search to find filters.

  • The filter list is displayed in alphabetical order, with up to 8 items shown.

When JQL is selected in Scope

  • Enter a JQL query to include work based on custom conditions.

  • Use the field picker dropdown to select JQL fields.

  • Each field is displayed with its name and type.
