Add System Fields

 

 

Flexible Table supports displaying most of the Jira system fields in the table view. Based on this, you can create personalized views with filters, grouping, sorting, and column pinning. Any added system fields are reflected in filters, sorting, group-by criteria, and table view columns. This enables you to configure a customized project management view or create a table view tailored for specific purposes, greatly enhancing project management and operational efficiency.

 

 

Adding System Fields

 

  1. Login to your Jira Cloud site.

  2. Select the project you want to manage with the Flexible Table app, following the instructions in the Getting Started guide.

  3. The table view in Flexible Table will appear.

  4. Click the + icon at the far right of the column area in the table view to open the list of available system fields. Select the fields you want to add from the list, and they will immediately appear in the table.

Restore Defaults

When you select Restore defaults under Add system fields, any system fields you added will be removed, and only the default fields configured for the Flexible Table app will be displayed in the table.

The default fields are Summary, Progress (Child work items), Status, Assignee, and Created.

Check Added Fields

 

  1. Login to your Jira Cloud site.

  2. Select the project you want to manage with the Flexible Table app, following the instructions in the Getting Started guide.

  3. The table view in Flexible Table will appear.

  4. Check that the added fields are arranged as columns in the table view. Also, verify that the added system fields are reflected in the group-by criteria, filters, and sorting options at the top of the table view.

Deselect system fields

 

  1. Login to your Jira Cloud site.

  2. Select the project you want to manage with the Flexible Table app, following the instructions in the Getting Started guide.

  3. The table view in Flexible Table will appear.

  4. Click the + icon at the right end of the table view’s column area to display the list of system fields. In the system fields list, uncheck any fields you want to remove from the table view.
