Bulk Operation in Jira
When you select multiple work items in the Flexible Table app's table view, the number of selected items is displayed at the bottom center of the table, and the Bulk operation in Jira button becomes active.
Clicking this button redirects you to Jira’s Bulk Operation feature, allowing you to make changes to the selected items in bulk.
Jira supports bulk operations for a maximum of 1,000 items. If you select more than that, you won’t be able to proceed with the operation.
To run a bulk operation
Login to your Jira Cloud site.
Select the project managed by the Flexible Table app, as described in the Getting Started section.
The table view in Flexible Table will appear.
Select multiple work items from the table.
The number of selected items (e.g., 5 items selected) will appear at the bottom center of the table, along with the Bulk operation in Jira button.
Click Bulk operation in Jira.
You will be redirected to Jira’s Bulk Operation screen.
Follow the steps provided by Jira to perform the bulk update. This typically includes selecting an operation (such as Edit Issues or Move Issues), choosing fields to update, reviewing the target items, confirming the changes, and executing the operation.
Jira supports bulk operations for up to 1,000 items only. You can select up to 1,000 items. The Jira Bulk Operation button will be disabled if you exceed this limit.
