Audit Log

The Audit Log feature in Flexible User License helps you monitor and track user and group exclusion activity within your Jira Cloud site. It provides visibility into who made changes, what actions were taken, when they occurred, and whether they were successful. With flexible filters and CSV export support, this feature allows administrators to investigate changes, troubleshoot unexpected behavior, and maintain compliance.

Audit logs are retained for only 180 days after the date of occurrence. You can export the logs to a CSV file for separate storage.

Overview of Audit Log

1. Login to your Jira Cloud site.

2. Go to Apps > Flexible User License in the left sidebar.

3. When the Flexible User License app is launched, select Manage Licenses > Exclude Users and Groups from the top navigation.

4. On the Audit Log screen, you can export logs or apply multiple filters to refine your search.

When multiple filters are applied, only logs that match all conditions (AND logic) will be displayed in the table.

Export

Export the currently displayed logs to a CSV file. The exported file will be named FSU_audit_logs_export_YYYY-MM-DD.csv (e.g., FSU_audit_logs_export_2025-07-23.csv).

Search

Search for specific user input values in the Action Details column.

For example, if you enter ‘group' into the search field, the table will display only the logs that contain 'group’ in the Action Details section.
