Manage Users



The Manage Users allows you to easily control user accounts through the Flexible User License app, with a synchronized view of your organization's Atlassian Admin user list.
You can check users' last active date, revoke their product license, or reassign it. The user list in Manage Users is synchronized with the list in Atlassian Admin, making it easy to manage users with the Flexible User License.



Overview of Manage users

 

1. Login to your Jira Cloud site.

2. Go to Apps > Flexible User License in the left-side bar.

3. When the Flexible User License app is launched, select Manage Users & Groups > Manage Users in the top navigation.

4. In managing users, you can check users' last active date, revoke their product license, or reassign it.

Buttons

  • Suspend Access: Temporarily revoke a user's access if they are no longer actively using Confluence or Jira.

  • Restore Access: Easily restore product access when a previously suspended user becomes active again.

  • Remove Users: Permanently remove users who no longer require access. Removed users are excluded from license usage.

  • Bulk Actions: Select multiple users and apply Suspend Access, Restore Access, or Remove User actions all at once.

Search & Filter

  • Search: Enter a username or email address in the search field to quickly find specific users.

  • Filter: Filters the user list based on the selected Status value. You can filter by Active, Suspended, or Deactivated users.

 

User List Details

  • User: Displays the user’s full name and email address.

  • Last Active: Shows the most recent date the user accessed Jira or Confluence.

  • Last Active Site: Indicates which site the user last accessed.

  • Status: Reflects the user’s activity state based on the last activity and site.

    • Active: The user is currently active.

    • Suspended: Access has been revoked.

  • Actions: Displays the available options based on the user's current status.

    • Suspend Access: Available for users with an Active status.

    • Restore Access: Available for users with Suspended status.

  • Group Membership: Click to view a list of user groups the person belongs to. Useful for managing access and license usage by group.

  • More actions: Use the dropdown menu to access additional functions:

    • Show details: Opens the user's profile in Atlassian Admin > Directory > Users.

    • Remove user: Deletes the user from the list and excludes them from license allocation.
